VHA FULL HAIRDRESSING COURSE

 

The VHA's agenda is a simple one: We are here to raise the bar in the hairdressing school industry.
We do this by training you as if we are going to hire you. After finishing the Vancouver Hairdressing Academy course, you will be fully prepared for the realities of the beauty business and ready to begin your career in hairdressing.

 

Our curriculum is taken from the apprenticeship program Michael Levine started creating in 1998 and used by Michael and his education team to train hundreds of young hairstylists, a training system that has helped produce 5 Canadian Hairdresser of the Year Award Winners. The training system at the Vancouver Hairdressing Academy has evolved into the fastest and most progressive way to train a new hairstylist anywhere in North America.
We will have you cutting hair on the first day, and colouring hair by the fourth day. It is intense, fast-paced and fun, but most important, practical. There is little emphasis placed on dated areas and techniques that are rarely used.

Our course is 6 months and runs 3 days a week, 8 hours a day and is considered full-time by the government of British Columbia.

 

For the first 3 month semester almost all work is performed on mannequins. We have a lot fun with our students but we work very hard and cover an incredible amount of material in a short period of time, all while in a low pressure environment.

 

The second semester is on real, live clients and supplemented with more mannequin work. Our students will do a lot of hair before they finish our program, and will hopefully graduate and receive a Diploma in Hairdressing.

UNLOCKED- PRIVATE TRAINING SESSIONS, DEMONSTRATIONS, AND SEMINARS FOR EXPERIENCED STYLISTS AND TEAMS

Michael Levine is available for private training with hands-on education for between 1 and 5 people, and is available for seminars for groups of any size. Michael specializes in helping experienced stylists to understand why they do what they do, and unlocks systems for success in cutting and colouring.
